Fine-tune your world's survival experience with the new Region ID and Terrain Tag configuration system. Control temperature, shelter, and survival needs per zone for deeper, more immersive gameplay.


๐Ÿงญ New Plugin Parameters

You can now define environmental rules directly on:

  • Region IDs
  • Terrain Tags

Each Region or Terrain entry can customize how that area feels and behaves for the player.


๐ŸŒก Environmental Controls

๐Ÿ”ฅ Temperature Override

Set a fixed temperature for that zone, ignoring the global map temperature.
Ideal for heated interiors, frozen caves, magical cold zones, or volcanic heat regions.

๐Ÿ›ก Shelter

Mark the zone as Shelter to reduce or nullify negative weather effects. Examples include buildings, caves, tunnels, or protected safe zones.

๐Ÿ— Need Modifiers

Apply multipliers to survival need decay rates inside that zone.

  • hunger: 1.5 โ€” harsh/cursed area where hunger drains faster
  • thirst: 0.5 โ€” areas near water sources where thirst drains slower
  • fatigue: 2.0 โ€” swampy or dangerous terrain that tires the player more quickly

These modifiers allow you to turn specific tiles or regions into risk zones or safe havens without creating separate maps.


โš  Deprecated: Map Temperature Note Tag

The old map note tag:

<temperature:X>

is no longer supported.
Please use the new Region/Terrain Configuration for all temperature and environmental settings. This method is more precise, cleaner, and fully compatible with the updated system.
